Oscar and I ... well actually I decided it was time for Grace to be done with "binkies". We were in the car last Wednesday waiting to pick Oscar up and I decided to snip the ends of her binkies. She has 5 of them tied together that she calls her "wee necklace" ( no idea where that name came from). I handed her the "wee" and she looked at it and then looked at each binkie and says " OH NO MOM... binkies broken! OH NO! The look of shock on her face was absolutely priceless. When we got home she took them and put them in the trash and than applauded herself. I really thought this was going to be a very traumatic event for her, but it really wasn't. She asked for them a few times and I told her to just suck her thumb. Well, I guess I have now turned my daughter into a thumb sucker and unfortunately I can't cut her thumbs off. Oh well... there are worse things in the world.( I actually think she looks pretty adorable.
